Review of Chapter 8

Holden really impressed me in this chapter, to be honest. He can really lie, when he wants to. He's VERY convincing. And Holden lies, or fibs, when he knows there aren't going to be any big repercussions. When he's lying to Ernest's mom, he's impressing himself with how detailed he's getting- but it's nothing too serious. I mean, she's not gonna investigate him and nothing really big depends on it. And Holden knows that, that's why he's doing it.

This chapter also made me think of how weird it is to talk to a fellow students parent. You might know a terrible side of them, but you would never say that to the parents. They have no idea what their child is like at school and I just think that's an interesting thing.
