Jiro

I relate to Jiro in the fact that he's passionate about what he does. When he was talking about waking up in the middle of the night and thinking about sushi I thought that was cool. Because I get like that too. Sometimes I have ideas of shots that would look SO cool and I write them down. I think of plot ideas and dialogue that would be good so I write them down. I appreciate Jiro's dedication and commitment and I hope to be as praised and admired, for his love and passion, as he has.

Where I Find Inspiration

Tyler the Creator is one of by biggest inspirations. He is mainly known for being a rapper but he's so much more. He wants to make films and he promotes going out and doing your own things, which I love and I want to do to. This is one of my favorite interviews with him because Larry King doesn't know much about him but Tyler goes in depth with what he is about and what he wants to do. In this interview we go into his creative mind and it makes me love him more, and makes me want to pursue my dreams.

Update on: My Masterpiece

My masterpiece topic is on film.(I sort of specified more about it, in another post, to cinematography, directing, acting and comedy.) Every year, here at Righetti, the film club puts on a Film Festival. Everyone in advanced film, which I am in, has to create a film and put it in the festival.

Over the course of about two weeks I have been in the process of beginning to create my film. I first wrote a treatment, and just this week I finished writing the script. I already have my actors and we just need to plan when we can film. Filming and editing. That's what I need to get done in the course of a little less than two months which isn't a lot of time. Although this type of pressure can usually create a lot of stress, I am very positive with how it will come out. I am very excited. And I can't wait to see what the outcome will be in the near future.

I won't post exactly what my treatment is (a summary of the film) because I don't feel comfortable posting specific ideas on the internet where someone can steal or take them.

Basically it's about a high school couple (NOT A TYPICAL HIGH SCHOOL LOVE STORY I PROMISE)who are best friends. One of them has to move away and the other one is very upset, obviously. But the one that is very upset learns that he can find his own happiness on his own and he doesn't need to be dependent on anybody for anything. I think I'm going to call it, "On Your Own."

Review Between Chapter 9-26

Wow so in these chapters, Holden did a lot. It's weird because he did so much in such a little amount of time.

I liked it. I really enjoyed the book. I've talked to other classmates about it and most of them we're thoroughly annoyed with Holdens behavior, but I just got him. I don't really know how to explain it. It was very easy to understand.

I love how in depth Holden would go with everything, just because he'd sort of remember as he was telling us and then go into more detail.

Personally, I saw a lot of similarities between this book and "Perks of Being a Wallflower." (the book not really the movie) Like how both main characters are depressed and going through a lot, mentally. How they both have older brothers and a sister they really get along with. How they have one teacher that's a really good mentor. And how they always talk about other schools they used to go to. Oh yeah, I just remembered, how they both saw/were close to someone killing themselves.

I really wish he would have called Jane.

I really hope he got his life together in the end. I want him to listen to what Mr. Antolini said to him and take it to heart.

IM HERE

I'm here.
I'm in English 4 at Righetti High School.
I'm taught by Dr. Preston.

I've been trying to post as much as I can but I've been busy lately. Personally, I think I've done a very good job by posting what I need to. And my overall performance in this class is very good, if I do say so myself.

I exist and I matter a lot.

Review of Chapter 8

Holden really impressed me in this chapter, to be honest. He can really lie, when he wants to. He's VERY convincing. And Holden lies, or fibs, when he knows there aren't going to be any big repercussions. When he's lying to Ernest's mom, he's impressing himself with how detailed he's getting- but it's nothing too serious. I mean, she's not gonna investigate him and nothing really big depends on it. And Holden knows that, that's why he's doing it.

This chapter also made me think of how weird it is to talk to a fellow students parent. You might know a terrible side of them, but you would never say that to the parents. They have no idea what their child is like at school and I just think that's an interesting thing.
